This must be the most gruesome thing that can happen to someone. I get creeped out thinking about it. I would kill myself quickly

I'm sure I would think I was going to die. And for these miners, this is probably the case.

I would spend my time keeping busy, trying to find signs of openings, finding food if any, trying to keep warm, making my area more comfortable, or anything else to keep my mind occupied. Luckily, there is plenty of water in the mine, though it tastes like coal.

If it is the rest of my life, I would try to live it the best I could until the end. The will to live is strong.

The miracle I pray for is that the mine proprietors will launch a number of their income to predrill purely before the place the miners are going to progression next, this form they might have a line cutting-edge interior the progression of an incident and that they might immediately pump out water, pump in oxygen, clean water and talk with them utilising GPS and radios on each and each miner which will artwork regardless what intensity they're working at! All of those issues must be required by ability of the federal mine protection value besides as bio video show instruments that deliver their alerts by ability of radio consistently.

It is seriously doubtful if they are still alive.
I woeked undergound for a while, this is not a good topic, but if they survived the roof collapse and the airblast from that then the lack of air, water or food plus the knowledge they were trapped would likely be worse than the silence or the dark.
The silence itself would be worse than the dark because the mind makes up noises.

I know. I know. Every time I think about it it makes me sick. After the second collapse, when the three rescuers were killed, I found myself actually hoping that those poor miners perished quickly in the first collapse.. Is that bad? I just can't imagine the horror of being trapped down there for so long. :(

My heart aches for all these miners and their families. I have no use for the mine owner. He should have criminal charges filed against him when all is said and done. He knew how bad that mine was, but the almighy dollar was so much more important. Also, the miners were not in a union, so anyone that belly-ached was terminated.

I would sing to myself (if able) for as long as possible. That is probably not a good idea though since the air supply might be low. I am sure I would pray ....alot.

That is because you were not trained for it. You CAN do it and not go crazy. You CAN do anything might near and not go crazy, if you are trained. Ex Damage Controlman First. Drunk, as usual. Still able to see the facts.

I cannot imagine. This has been one of the saddest tragedies that I can remember. I think and pray for them all the time. Darkness can be so insanely scary.

I would probably have to talk out loud to another miner...to hear a voice letting me know I wasn't alone.

I could handle the darkness, but dehydration would kill me.
