Who are you?

Question

I hope most of you realize I'm not looking for your name but what you feel you actually are.

Normally I'd give you my thoughts in order to give you a starting point but this time I want you to give me the starting point :)

I'm a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. I'm a voracious reader, a singer, a terrible but enthusiastic dancer, and a pretty good cook. I'm curious about everything, and will learn everything there is to know about things that really catch my interest. I'm sentimental but stoic. I stink at running but I can swim like nobody's business. I have a wicked sense of humor. I'm a HUGE fan of The Marx Brothers, Monty Python, Blackadder (the third is my favorite), and Emily Bronte, Edgar Allen Poe, Shakespeare, and Jaspar Fforde.
That's the basics about me in a nutshell.

I am known to many, who don't really know who i am. My life has been anything but easy or carefree. I continually find the strength to persue my life's goals and ambitions. I remain determined and hopeful.

I am an artist, i see the way things are and try to change them to my satisfaction, to fit my needs. That may mean changing myself or abandoning the situation if it doesn't help me... I try to evolve as a human being.

I seek beauty and pleasure in the simple things of life because there is no comfort anywhere else, with anyone else so i look for it in myself and in the Lord.

I am not isolated from others, i'm just in my own world where no one else exists but they are still known and remembered. I've always been alone, even in a crowd of people and it's not that i didn't accept them, they just didn't know who i was... because i hardly knew myself.

I've learned that self-acceptance is all that matters, because, in the end, we're all alone.

I am my very own self, equipped with a body in order to be able to participate in the event we call "life".
All the trappings are a result of the circumstances I've been in so far, and the way I look is a result of who I am.

Who am I? Who ought I to be? I am the Alpha and the Omega of my life span. I am the culmination of my past and present. I am Caesar at the height of Rome and laying bloody on the floor. I am the oracle and the spectacle. I am the lost and found, the sun and earth, fire and water. But most of all I am nothing.

Dear Sean: We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it is we did wrong. But we think you're crazy for making us answer the question telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us: in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. I am a good person, making my way through life the best I can. I enjoy living and I am an adventurer. I enjoy learning, and will go to my death knowing there is nothing more, and I'm ok with that.

I am a daughter, a mother, a military wife, a veteran, a liberal, an atheist, and a homeschooling mom. I am opinionated and yet very shy. A perfectionist yet incredibly disorganized. I am just me.

Words are so inadequate. We label our thoughts and feelings and try to describe the mystery.

The 'awareness' carries "me" along as this life unfolds. It all seems unpredictable to the mind and emotions, but awareness (that remains steady) just watches...untouched and undisturbed.
