No the A380 hasn't entered service yet, its first commercial flight is for Singapore airlines on 25th October, 2007 and it'd be configured in the Singapore airlines seating( Alopilot's answer is wrong in this aspect) because its the aircraft going to be used for regular commercial service . The aircraft is to be handed over to Singapore airline at a ceremony in Airbus factory at Toulouse on 15th October, 2007 and its going to be put into revenue service soon after that( TBA by Singapore airlines). To your second question, yes some journalists, airline execs and Airbus employees have flown on it and according to their comments, the aircraft is AMAZINGLY QUIET than any other widebody flying today(you can check on some articles on A380 tests at flightglobal.com) and also you have a feeling of more space being that it has a larger cabin on both decks than the 747. Yes its superior to the 747-400 in that it uses newer technology, much more quiet both inside and out.

No, it's not in service yet. I've seen pictures of the interior, and it looks pretty impressive, but then again so does the new 747-8. Really there's no particular superiority to the A380 beyond it's size. Any luxury appointments or gadgets can be duplicated on another plane. If I remember right, Singapore Airlines is the only customer left that has ordered the passenger version. Pretty much everyone else has cancelled their orders because of the huge delays. The delays are so long that they can order a new Boeing plane now, and still get it much the same time as the A380 would have arrived.

SIA to take first A380 Oct. 15, fly to Sydney 10 days later
Friday August 17, 2007
Airbus announced yesterday that it will deliver the first A380 to Singapore Airlines on Oct. 15, with the carrier's first flight slated for Oct. 25 from Singapore to Sydney.
The aircraft will be configured with 471 seats in three classes: Economy, business and "Singapore Airlines Suites." Seats on the first flight will be auctioned via eBay and SIA said it will donate the proceeds to charity. The return Sydney-Singapore flight is scheduled for Oct. 26.
"Everyone at Singapore Airlines is keenly anticipating the delivery of this new plane and our people are working hard on final preparation for its entry into service," CEO Chew Choon Seng said. "The first flight promises to be one of the most exciting occasions in aviation history."
Under the original A380 program schedule, the first aircraft was scheduled to be delivered to SIA in May 2006, or 17 months earlier than now is planned following several program delays (ATWOnline, Sept. 22, 2006).
Airbus still touts the aircraft as a 555-seater, but SIA followed Qantas--which plans to seat 450 on its A380s--in revealing a configuration for far fewer passengers (ATWOnline, July 25). Typically, 747-400s are configured for about 380 passengers, meaning the first A380s in operation will handle fewer than 100 additional passengers. However, they may not present the boarding and disembarking challenges some had feared.
While SIA said its A380 first-class suites "will be a product that totally redefines luxury in the sky," it did not say whether it will feature self-service bars and lounges in first and business classes similar to Qantas.

The first commercial flight of the A-380 will be with Singapore Airlines on October 25 of this year... Some lucky members of the press have taken a ride aboard the A380... not in the SIA configuration however...

The A-380 has yet to enter service.
Airline related personnel and press crew have flown in the A-380 during trials and evaluations.
It is the biggest airliner in its class, but can only assert its superiority once it enters service.
