Just who has the KKK killed? What's the difference between them and the NAACP, the ACLU, and the rest. I'm not taking up for the KKK, I think they are wrong, but you need to do a little fact research before you make ignorant statements like this......########

If specific KKK members were linked to a crime, then cops would be able to go into the meetings and arrest the appropriate suspects. In the past, KKK members have committed atrocious crimes and were arrested. Now the KKK is mostly just a way for members to talk about and share their beliefs, and people can not be criminally punished for believing something, no matter how wrong they may be or how much we may disagree with them.

Before I start, I DO NOT support the KKK. The NAACP jumped on the Duke lacrosse players because they were white and the phony victim was black, and they wanted them locked away, when there was no proof against them. The KKK doesn't do mass killings anymore. They can belive what they want. I went to a parade in a small town near my hometown, where there's an active KKK. They were in the parade on horseback in their robes carrying their flag. It was weird, but not against the law in any way.

Hate to be the one to tell you this, but those KKK folks enjoy the same rights as you do. They have a right to assemble, they have a right to believe whatever twisted thing they want to, and they have the right to publicly talk about their beliefs. Unless there is probably cause to connect individual members with a particular crime there is not a whole heck of a lot the cops can do about it. In fact, the cops are duty bound to protect them from anyone who tries to interfere with their "peaceful" gathering.

In short, freedom means having to put up with jackasses who don't believe the same things as you do.

I havent heard anything of KKK members killing mass numbers of people at all. They killed African Americans back in the 1800's, until slavery was abolished and then they were seen by society as murders and tried as such. You cant just arrest someone for what they believe. You also need to substantiate what you are saying with facts, not just what you have heard from people.

Arrest them for what? Last time I checked it is not a crime to hate people for stupid reasons. And we do have that pesky first amendment for freedom of speech. That is not limited to people saying nice things. When and if they do more than parade and picket and it can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law, then they can be arrested. Til then, well we can't eliminate cockroaches either.

The KKK hasn't killed people by the "masses" for a long, long time. They don't do that anymore.

And because most of them don't kill people, they can't be arrested due to their beliefs being under freedom of speech.

If a KKK member did kill masses of people, they would be dealt with.

half of the members are undercover informants, so shutting down the kkk would put too many cops out of work

bc you cant arrest somebody for no reason. and the have the right to have their organization although they don't have the right to commit acts of violence. they cant arrest all KKK members just for being in the KKK. although they can arrest them for crimes they have committed once they have probable cause, and I'm sure they do.

Because talking LIKE a terrorist is not criminal.

Only causing violence, or attempting to incite others to commit violence immediately, are criminal actions.

Most of the KKK keeps just short of the line, and don't actually cross over into illegal activity.

And currently, prosecution based solely on association with other criminals is not yet common in the US.
