Are any of you really excited about Jesus? Lately I am just so excited to know him, to love him, to learn about him. I can feel his love for me. Sometimes I just want to shout it out. Do any of you feel this way? Please tell me about it.
Thanks,

Every single day. Sister that is the joy and love of our Lord just bubbling out of you. Just keep on bubbling and your bound to make a few non soapy types develop suds. God bless you for your enthusiasm. We love him because he first loved us!!!

This is an open forum...I am not excited about Jesus. I am more excited about the trend I am seeing of people taking responsibility for their spiritual lives and living consciously.

When I first came to Christ I spent every hour I could reading the Bible and commentaries on the Bible. I memorized Scripture (The Navigators have what is called the Topical Memory System) and spent as much time as possible with other Christians. In my work I had many opportunities to tell others about all I was learning and how much of a difference Christ could make in their lives.

That was 50 years ago, but I am always wanting to know Christ better and the Word as well. I still take advantage of opportunities to tell others about him. Presently, we are studying a series call The Way of the Master which gives ideas on how to speak to others about Christ.

I've been really excited for a while. We have had a couple of missionaries at church lately and it is really inspiring to hear their stories. We have also studied some interesting parts of the bible in school and that has made me really excited about the Bible and God.

I really appreciate the maturity that twinsma is showing. Rarely do i see a non christian leave an answer on a christian question that does not knock us.

Ah yes... there is great excitement and joy in the belief that a cosmic Jewish zombie, who is his own father, can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him that you accept him as your master so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced, by a talking snake with legs, to eat from a magical tree... (etc.)... and that there is something horribly wrong with people who ARE NOT so gullible and droolingly stupid as to believe such outrageously ridiculous codswallop.

And then there is the ILLUSION of salvation and the DELUSION that one will have eternal life at the side of a vile and evil ('though thankfully imaginary) diety who would set up his own son to be cruelly tortured and suffer a gruesome and agonizing death... in a spectacle of blood sacrifice... to APPEASE HIMSELF. And somewhere along the line, your thinking has become so bizarrely and grotesquely distorted that you regard this as a 'good' thing.

I'm so happy for you.

"When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity. When many people suffer from a delusion it is called Religion." ~ Robert M. Pirsig
