What does the world "VOGELN" mean with the 2 dots above the O. I

Exactly. Vögel is bird. But vögeln is to f ck. You add the vowel here

And yes, Vögel has a plural, its Vögeln. But, as someone said, it its capitalized, the word is a substantive, if its not, its a verb. If you hear it, you dont have a way to decide, but for the context.

If it's capitalized, it is the dative plural form of birds: Er gab den Vögeln Brot. = He gave the birds bread.
It it's not capitalized, it is an infinitive for to f*ck or maybe to screw. Does anyone actually still say that?
