It is immoral. If you're a Christian, it's also not Christ-like. Christ warns us that whatever we do to the least among us, we are also doing to Him.

I think that most people would agree with you, but one must also look at the government of these countries and what it is that they are doing with the million upon millions being sent to them for the aid as you describe above. Darfur is a perfect example of what has happened. Through the UN there has been much aid sent to help in the relief of this horrible situation there, but it is THE very government that these people who live under it that have stolen the money or use food, medical relief against the poor, diseased and dying.
It is said that unless the USA goes in with guns blazing, this situation will only get worse and worse until genocide is complete. And with the way the US has been hammered over the past few years, it looks like that is a long shot.

Darfur is an example where the ENTIRE rest of the world can hold their heads down in shame!

It is immoral, it is disgusting.

THANK you for this in-your-face truth that each of us need to examine our hearts about. If we don't have the facts on Darfur, and all the other heinous injustices of this world, we need to make it our business to learn and then once we do, get out of our comfort zones and do something about it.

There are times when I turn off the radio, don't watch the news and when a blip comes across my screen of yet one more tragedy, I want to hide my head (selfish, I know)....I feel ill at the cruelty we are able to inflict on each other as humans, OMG and then sometimes I wonder what He must think of us.

Thank you for tossing this 'THINK ABOUT IT" out into the world for people to mull over and assess, well done!

Grace unto you, and peace,
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Forget the traditional band aid $tuff.
We all are one got a mega problem,
and it's the mass ignorance of them.

All(men, women, and children) who will
live godly in CJ shall "suffer": 2Tim 3:12.
Somebody tell them CJ is reverse of JC,
as Dog is mirrorly the reverse of God,
(dogs return to their own vomit: law)
and "am I" is the reverse of "I am",
and "shall I" is the reverse of "I shall",
and "will I" is the reverse of "I will".

God said: I will have mercy, and not sacrifice,
and the not part is not then, not now, not ever.

Do the will of God precedes receive the promise.

So then, what are you gonna do about it?
For "you all" in the end begins with "you".

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

How about those who are stumbling blindly towards Hell?

" Rescue those being led away to death;
hold back those staggering toward slaughter.
If you say, "But we knew nothing about this,"
does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?
Does not he who guards your life know it?
Will he not repay each person according to what he has done?"
Proverbs 24:11-12

Ever notice the biggest charitable organizations in the world are Christian?

We cannot solve all suffering on this earth. That will only happen when Jesus returns and puts all things right.

It is a good thing to contribute to those less fortunate, of course.

But 'God' gets a free pass, don't you know? Especially since he's already so busy making sure that minor surgeries go well, lost pets are found, etc., for the people who really really meant it when they prayed.
