No sugar added ice cream typically refers to no additional sugar was added during the ice cream production process. However, the ice cream will contain natural sugar such as sugar from the dairy or the fruits.

I know that Coldstone carries lots of flavors. But I would think it would be ok if there was a flavor with no sugar added and almost no fat...... But then again, how much fat is "almost no fat".? They should have some information that would show you the exact numbers. Like McDonalds , they list all their sandwiches, and whats in each: fat, calories, protein, etc... Good luck!!!

My dad, grandmother, and uncle have been a diabetic for years. My dads doctor just told him sugar is not necessarily the issue. It is carbs that break down. The doctor allows him sugar free ice cream on special occasions. Check with your doctor to make sure. We also have a dietitian that we can ask questions. She has been very helpful. Again is is very important to check with your doctor everyones diabetes is not the same.
