my daughter is starting preschool and she has to have the brand prang watercolors!
they are out of them everywhere and besides they are $4.00!!

my mom told me tonight that this is the same brand we had to have when we started school.

That was the brand they asked for when my daughter was in kindergarten. I think the only reason they want those is because they come in a sealed case and most other brands don't. Get something else, and don't worry about it.

When I was in Kindergarten, the school supplied watercolors in Art. That's weird, you have to pay for your own watercolors. Just find another brand with a good case, and if the teacher gets mad at your daughter, tell her that you couldn't find them anywhere. Besides, probably many children won't have the exact brand, either.

My daughter gets new school clothes every year. She gets 5 new outfits, new under clothes, new socks, 1 pair of gym shoes, and 1 pair of other shoes. I think alot of kids start each school year with new clothes. It does get expensive so i can see why your husband is reluctant to do it though. I would at least get her a couple outfits and shoes.
