He is not scratching at it nor as he had a fever or any flu like symptoms. It is also spreading a little bit. If it is not better by monday, i will take him to the doctor. Just wondering if anyone had an idea of what it could be?

I would say heat rash. Mine used to get it alot here in TX. Especially if he is drooling alot with teething.

The doctor will most likely ask you if you've started using any new detergent, new soaps, new clothes, new medicines, new foods... Could be a reaction to any of those things. If your child were sick (but you said he wasn't) sore throat, fever, etc. then I'd say to call the doctor tomorrow even though it's Sunday. But if your child is comfortable, I'd give him some Benedryl tonight before bed and see if that helps. Kids sometime get rashes for unknown reasons. Sometimes they'll break out after they've been sick. Something like the virus working its way through the system.

Since he feels ok, I think your plan is reasonable to wait until Monday. But if he develops any other symptoms, call the doc before then.

if its not followed by a fever it could be eczema or prickly heat. Prickly heat are small red bumps and usually appear on the part of the body are covered by clothes. Keep him dry with corn starch powder and after baths use lotion. If it's eczema you can put lotion on it. But like you said if it's still there bring him to the doctors. Good Luck!

have you changed soap or laundry detergent? did he eat anything new? did he play outside and possibly go into some weeds? did he go around anyone's pets? those are just a few questions that you can begin with to analyze the rash. is he running a fever. i would give some benedryl for starters.

It could be many things:
Liver Issues, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever , Scabes, Chicken Pox, etc.

Take him to the doctor right away if he starts to have a fever, nauseated, diarreah, lethargic, delirious, not eating. complaining of any pain, not sleeping, itching. etc.

It could be diaper rash as it has been known to go to the belly.

Take him to a doctor, this is not the place to take chances with your child.

Good Luck

It could measles, chicken pox, heat rash or anything. These days don't take any chances if it doesn't get better by Monday get him to a doctor. It's better to be safe than sorry.

I don't know what kind of climate you live in, but maybe heat rash, or an allergic reaction. Look to see if you can see an insect bite, or was he in the grass or hay? It could be any of those...babies have really sensitive skin.

Heat rash? It has been super hot where I am, and that's the first thing that comes to mind for me!
Hope he's okay!

Maybe allergic to something. Could be something in the house, or if he's been outside lately he could have caught something. Possibly food allergies.
