I drink it all the time, but I just heard today that some is just purified tap water and not spring water. I also heard that they're bad for the enviroment, but I can't remember how. Can someone tell me? Thanks. Much appreciated in advance :]

Their bad for the environment in that there are a LOT of used bottles that don't get recycled, even though they can be. And yes, a lot of bottled water is just purified tap water. You'd be MUCH better of getting a Brita water filter, the first investment will pay for itself in the long run compared with how much you're paying for bottled water.

It's bad for the environment because they're in plastic bottles and those aren't biodegradable. A lot of bottled water is just purified with reverse osmosis, which is how most cities purify the tap water anyway; so, it's pointless.

Yeah I have heard this awhile. Can't confirm it, but bottled water really is a waste. Just get a tap filter.

all that fuel and chemicals used to make those plastic bottles, and when people don't bother to recycle them, they end up everywhere, landfills, streams, the oceans(I picked up so many when we had a clean up day)

one of the things we should do as citizens is to demand the government to improve the quality of drinking water by improving the water systems

its true, they just run it thru a filter, you can make your own , buy a PUR filter pitcher at wal-mart, it will remove almost every thing, including germs, [others don.t ] including Brita,
and bottle your own, read what it will remove, [filter]
