Yes I do agree that people do not understand that believing in religion is not the same as believing in God. People do not understand that religion is a system of belief or worship. And God is the creator of the universe. I don't know how many times I have tried to explain that to people. So I do understand your frustration. If you can think of a better way to tell people, please let me know. Thanks

People who believe in "religion" follow certain behaviors, rituals, physical motions and prescribed verbalizations that have been invented(heresies and false teachings), surmised (privately interpreted) and taken out of various contexts by human beings who state that these works or deeds will get a person into Heaven or Paradise. Believing in God, however, is TRUSTING God in all matters of life and finding out what is written about God in the Holy Bible-(the inspired words of God)-exactly what God wants mankind to do: love God and love one another. Belief is based on FAITH in the grace of God. Most who do not know that do not study the holy bible.

You may also have an odor too, like something rotten. Very close to that place is something that has died or a piece of raw meat that has been dropped. Look under things in that area. Maggots turn into flies, so pretty soon, you will have a house full of flies. This happened to me once when I dropped a piece of chicken while family was over, and I didn't reallize it.

I suppose for the same reason that some people can't understand that there is a difference between believing in God and believing God.

Oh dear . . . well this makes a change from "Christianity is not a religion, it's a relationship with Jesus".
Believing in God is not necessarily religious, but it is irrational as there's no evidence to support it.

I understand what you are saying.
Those are the same people that say only their religion is true, right, correct and the path to Heaven.

I don't know but I know what you mean and understand your confusion. Faith sometimes seems less important to those who want you to be on their team. Many fundie Christian groups believe they're right and call the others sinners. Muslims do the same thing.

If the people you know can't understand that basic difference, perhaps you should associate with other people; or if you are referring to these people in R&S of Q&A, then you need to develop a thicker skin and ignore them. Even though many of the people that you refer have very large, loud and flapping mouths, they don't seem to have the brains enough to know how to wipe their own..................
