How do i find out if someone has been honorable discharged from the navy?

Go to the following URL. Click on to the "Navy Log" lin, then use the search tool to find out if he even served in the Navy.

Difficult, but not impossible. Under the freedom of information act, the national archives (http://www.archives.gov/locations/index.html ) can give you their name, service number, rank, dates of service, awards and decorations, place of entrance and separation. If the veteran is deceased they can also tell you: place of birth, date and geographical location of death, place of burial. I don't know about honorable discharge; they might tell you, or you might have to get in touch with the service member's next-of-kin to find out.
