when u do a system restore, does it restore your regstry aswell?

The registry is the brains of your computer. When you do a system restore, your will see dates in August, or July, that a system restore can be done from. The restore is based on your last good registry.

You usually want to do a system restore, when you have a serious problem that may have been caused by a trojan virus, or a file with bad codes that has messed up your system and it will not function in a normal mode.

Or upon reboot you can keep pressing down on "F8", and a screen will open up and you can reboot, from your last known good boot, or safe mode, etc. etc.
