intervention fearing it would threaten their sovereignty. The meeting comes as the U.S. government is poised to offer a major aid plan to fight drug trafficking and violence. Bush may announce part or all the proposal during the summit if the details are completed in time. The effort is expected to help pay for equipement and training
Calderson has creaked down on drug trafficekers and sent soldiers into violence plagued areas since he won election last year. The effort has earned praise from Bush. Still many people in mexico are wary of the U.S. intervention, fearing it could threaten their sovereighty.

It's okay to export their proverty, but when we want the drug traffickering to be stopped all of a sudden it's about their sovereighty or is it about the money that they get from the drugs sales, what do you think

I read the article also. They are worried that any involvement from the US will threaten their sovereignty, but they have no problems coming here and ruining ours. Hypocrisy at it's best.

I have an idea -- let's send the illegals back to Mexico and let THEM fight the drug traffickers in their own country. Then, nobody would have a sovereignty problem.

"it's okay to export their poverty?"
How did you come down to saying nonsense like that?
Mexico is not "exporting" anyone one. People are forced to leave for certain reasons.

Where is the question?
This statement . . .
"Bush to tighten ties with Mexico, and Canada, but Calderon says the Mexican people are worry of U.S.? " is not a question.

I think the Mexican people who worry about what Bush was discussing (giving them $1.5 billion in military aid including Blackhawks to fight cartels) are those who support the cartels.

All the same, I'm fine with their position.
