I love winter weddings!!! Winter weddings are the best!!!!! I always wanted mine in the winter with a white and silver color scheme, tons of little tea candles and white holiday lights and deep red roses with evergreens and berries. Not too christmasy if you keep the white and silver the dominant colors. Check out the sites below for some pics and ideas. (my own wedding is going to be in august of all times; complete opposite, lol!)

I used this florist for my wedding and they had some winter wedding pics.

http://www.ovandony.com/
go to wedding
then wedding portfolio
click on the icon 3 rows down on the left
When you click, It will say white winter wedding
I love the flowering branches

I've heard of the Winter Wonderland Ball at The NY Botanical Gardens (they have ite every year) the invitation requests the woman to wear silver, blue or white gowns. Antony Todd would design the room, but i seemed to not be able to find picks of the decor.

EDIT here's a pick from the ball, some guests had fur vests, I'm not a fan of real fur but the fake stuff may do. Also they had a blue light with glowing lights as centerpieces

We had a black and white wedding... with yellow and red roses for a splash of color. It was wonderful for us. Roses are super cheap in January too! Um, any bold colors will work. Try to avoid lighter colors... sometimes they blend into the background... especially during outside shots. Good luck and congrats.

You really can choose any color you want. I suggest taking a bridesmaid or two to a local bridal shop and have them try on different styles and colors. Then pick what you like!

also check out http://davidsbridal.com/bridalparty.jsp

even if you are not a fan of Davids Bridal, their web site is very user friendly and you can see a wide variety of styles and colors.

Good luck!

You could have a gray or steel blue and go for a winter wonderland theme. You could do pink or red and get a jump start on Valentine's day.

Deep rich reds,burgundy's,greens,blues,chocolate browns.
I love chocolate brown and ivory/creams together.Use oranges and golds for flowers along with the greenery.
The men can wear brown too with ivory/cream vests etc.
I think this is very classy.

Deeper tones look nice in January such as burgundy, hunter green, deep blue, etc. But you can use any color you like.
