The Bible speaks about the reality of a spiritual realm inhabited by many supernatural spirit entities:
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." (Eph. 6:12).
The Bible forbids attempted contact with spirits that pretend to be spirits of the dead (Deuteronomy 18:11). The Bible states that the dead do not have contact with the living (Luke 16:19-31). The reason for this is because such spirits are not spirits of the dead but rather deceitful spirits under the command of Satan. The Bible calls such spirits "demons", "evil spirits", and "unclean spirits". These demonic spirits are familiar with the departed dead whom they seek to imitate. This is why they are able to supply people with intimate details of names, places, and facts. Indeed, Isaiah 29:4 calls such a spirit a "familiar spirit" (KJV).

A ghost is a spirit. The only ghosts(spirits) that roam around the earth are angels and demons.Souls and spirits from people who have died are either in heaven or hell

Some believe that ghosts are really demons from Hell, evil spirits. This is why we're warned not to mess with them.

No.
Ghosts are spirits. And there Is the Holy Spirit. The 3rd part of the Trinity.
There are demon spirits. There are Godly angels. There are fallen angels. And everything was invisible before it was visible, so there is probably the invisible cat, dog, frog, etc...
So? People's souls or soul-spirits go to a place God puts them when their body dies. They don't float around with nothing to do.

There is an instance in the bible of a dead spirit being summoned by a medium and prophesying, and another of dead (spirits) leaving their graves - so, no, nearly all sects *require* belief in ghosts. However, it is not permitted to attempt to *communicate* with ghosts.
