You could replace it with cinnamon but you're going to miss that unique flavor that nutmeg gives.

Ground Mace. It is actually part of the same spice. Tastes very much like nutmeg but a little lighter in color and flavor. Use a bit more if you want to make up for the lighter flavor.

I make carrot cake using allspice...it adds a nice flavor.

Allspice is a very good substitute for nutmeg.

I would try a pumpkin pie mix seasoning. If that doesn't work for you, you could try adding cinnamon, which will give it a different flavor. However, if you're allergic, you may just want to leave it out. Emeril Lagasse says that if you don't like it or can't have it, just leave it out!
