The war on drugs is.

Not because its less successful, but simply because its budget is much bigger.

Its main effect is to help keep drug profits high, through the action of the law of supply & demand.

Personaly I think that both these things are deemed to fail. But of the two I believe that the war on drugs is the bigger waste of these two. At least with the drugs things a lot of the people are old enougth to make their own minds up. If someone makes a poor choice and trys a harmfull drug, I still think that if they are old enougth to decide then they should be allowed to make their own mistakes. I don't take any drugs myself, but I would still defend the right for each user to decide for themselves whether they wanted to try something or not.

Neither.

Drugs will destroy our society.
Under age drinking will kill our future.

And just because something isn't on the decline doesn't mean it is a waste of tax payer money. It may mean that the resources are not being used effectively, or that there isn't enough money being spent.

Drug can destroy our society.

Red China certainly has an agenda with opiates and the great USA. They saw what the Brits did to them with heroin... how much do you really know about agendas?

Let's see people are still murdering one another, robbing banks etc... Let's not worry about any criminal activity since people are going to do it anyway and just put all those resources to better use.

The 'War on Poverty'. Not only has poverty not declined, there is evidence that government spending in this area is the PRIMARY cause of poverty.
