I'm planning on going into the airforce after highschool. I know that you have to stay in for at least four years before you get out. But when going to college, do you have to wear your uniform there?

Also, any site that tells you everything about the airforce(types of jobs and other things) would you please be able to give it to me?

No, you don't have to wear your uniform while attending college classes. But know that before you can take any college courses you have to complete your CDC's (career develment courses- which also earn you college credit.) And taking classes is not always easy depending on your job.

You must be referring to the Air National Guard. This is for the most part a 1 weekend a month 2 weeks a year deal. When you are not at weekend or annual training you are a civilian so you can wear whatever you wish. You should not wear your military uniform unless you are on duty or are on orders from the military.

Am I understanding that you might take college classes in your spare time after you enlist? You don't have to be in uniform for anything that's not part of your official duties, including college, but since many classes are given on base you might find it more convenient sometimes.

if you go ROTC, you will be required to wear your uniform at certain times.

however, if you are talking about attending classes while Active Duty, no.. when you are allowed to take classes.. which won't be for a while.

your Total commitment is for 8 years. depending on which job you get, that could mean up to six years of Active Duty
