The devil is the other side of the christian coin.
To believe in either god or the devil you must believe in the existance of the other.
True all major religions have a version of the devil. But in some the role of so called evil is looked upon in a different philosophical way. Take Kali in Hinduism. Goddess of Death & Destruction. But you need that to balance Life & Creation. The endless cycle of nature. You can't have one without the other.

Nothing at all. For every positive there is a negative. You really could not be a believer in god and not believe in the devil. their is a difference between believing in him and worshipping him and that's where most people get it confused with the question

There are pro's and con's to believing in the Devil. If you blame the Devil for bad things that people do then you are taking responsibility away from the person, which is bad. However, it may be helpfull to believe or know that there is an entity that will go out of its way to corrupt you and to be wary of it, which would be a good thing.

Nothing.
You can't believe in a good God without believing in a bad God. In effect I believe God and Satan are the same thing. Is like the Yim-Yam, Good -Bad, Black-White or the -+ pole of the same battery.

I dont think that there is anything wrong in it. Everyone is entitled to beleive in things. I think that if you were to worship the devil then thats whats wrong as it would be by doing wrong and evil things.

Not believing in the Devil is dangerous and similar to hiding ones head in the sand.

believing in the devil isnt the problem... its giving him control by worshiping and idolizing him that is..
ofcourse believing in it gives it some kind of form, however he can have as much of a form as he'd like... but you have to also believe in the power of god to keep the devil out of your life...

Speaking as a Christian, I think it's very important to believe that the devil is real. Otherwise how can you understand temptation to be able to fight it?
