There's a site site up specifically to help facilitate inmate contacts and to arrange for bail. Just type in West Valley Detention Center, look on the left margin and scroll down to the right link.

Go to your state website, in the search type in jail or even convict list, it should pop up a webpage for you that you cna search for inmates, i know the NJ website has this access, its public info like the one person mentioned

Call the facility. His/her incarceration is a matter of public record. They may even have a web site.
