I recently met a someone who was born intersexed in chat. i think i could like them, but from a religious stand point i am very confused. I am afraid I must be a graphic in my description. This person was born with a small penis that works, not testes or ovaries and no vagina. But they have a small uterus and small breasts. Is this person as defined by God male or female? This person was raised female and lives as one as an adult. But I know there are cases where those born with both parts have chosen to be male or female. Because this person has a uterus I figure she was meant to be female but how can i know for sure? I don't want to sin against God by entering a possible gay relationship. Is this person really female?

Personally, I don't base my sex life or relationships on rantings of 2000 year dead zealots.

firstly, thats not transgendered, thats hermaphroditic.

entirely different issues.

hermaphrodites are born with a physical abnormality where they show some of the traits of both genders.

transgender basically they feel their identity and who they are, does not match the physical gender of their body.

according to your description the person is neither male nor female. I'm pretty sure in bibical times, if they would even be allowed to live, (since at the time, such problems were entirely unresolvable) they would be outcast or at every least, somewhat excluded from some things.

if the person was raised female, and you can treat them as a female, I don't think God would object. it sounds like theres more female-ness there than male-ness.

some guys would be freaked out by it, some would probably be even more interested from the situation being unusual.

remember the old testament ruling is merely calling the act of laying with a man as with a woman, an abombination. if you look at this person, can you say they are a man? it sounds like in large, no, you probably can't.

I wouldn't worry about it.

First of all, I would have some serious doubts about entering a relationship with anyone you met in a chat room. In fact, that aspect alone is worth walking away, or at least keeping this as an internet-only relationship. You may find a person on the other end of the connection who is much older and with a much bigger penis than you care to meet up with.

As far as gender goes, I think that Christendom has yet to deal with the fact that gender is more of a spectrum than an either-or. It's probably less of a spectrum than the gay/lesbian/bisexual camp would have you believe, but more of a spectrum than the Baptists and fundamentalists would agree to.

Honestly, I really don't know about the pedophile tendencies thing. It does look weird but I wouldn't automatically judge somebody for getting involved with another person who has that condition that makes them look way younger than they are...as far as the transgendered thing, there are some transgendered people who undergo a dramatic transformation, with hormones and surgery, so that they really do look like a woman or man, even though they weren't born with those characteristics. Ever see the maury show..."Is it a woman or a man?" On those episodes alot of people are fooled. So, if somebody looks like a woman, talks like a woman, thinks and acts like a woman, I wouldn't think that a guy that got involved with that person was bisexual. They COULD be, but it is not a given.

Adam was Male and Female.
GOD put Adam to Sleep and took out the Female (Eve).

We get Messed Up when GOD Sends us to the Earth to be Born. Some, more than Others.

The Bible calls them "What-so-Evers" and can and Shoud get Saved, Born-Again.
Nobody needs to End up in Hell.

After Salvation, Only Jesus can Help these People Figure themselves out.

I say, if She's a "She", then She Ain't a "He".
Up to Her and Jesus!!!

EveryBodys Welcome in the House of the Lord.
ALL can be Saved and Should!

This is a really difficult one. I would almost be inclined to say that this is a time when I would think a person would want to choose to be one or the other and then go to the measures to achieve that. If there is no vagina though, what is your point? Why would you want to be involved, unless the person did want to get reorganized to be a woman? But this is not easy, I'm sure, for you or that person. God did not make a mistake so maybe seek His answer to this.

Wow. Interesting question. I guess my first question is, is this person a Christian? Clearly God is important to you and you should not get into a relationship with ANYONE who isn't "equally yoked".
As for the rest, if they ARE a Christian, then what have they chosen: male or female? Or have they decided? If not, you should not be in a relationship with them.
If they have decided, with God's leading, then that would be their gender as far as I was concerned, and as long as there was no veering from that choice (and preferrably surgical intervention if possible) you could be in a relationship with them as that chosen gender.

i don't believe that liking this person is a sin, give her a chance. remember she was born this way, and God must have made her this way for a reason. if she was raised female then that is what she is, remember it is not just our genitalia that defines us.

Hermaphrodites are not mentioned in the Bible, therefor they do not exist.
