My fiance and I are big rock fans and know that mny of the songs we love are definitely not acceptable to be played with the mixed age crowd we will be having. We have some 80's music, some hippie stuff, and some classical and big band, but all we are missing is the rock that we love. What are some suggestions you have for rock songs (slow or fast) that we could play? Any suggestions would be a great help.

Beautiful Day-U2 or is this considered pop?

What rock songs do you like? You could ask your DJ for suggestions.

Bands that I like:
3 Doors Down
Three Days Grace
Nonpoint
Aerosmith
Audioslave
Bon Jovi
Collective Soul
the Foo Fighters
Jet
System of a Down

A good DJ will know the best songs to play and when to play them. If you have hired a DJ, that is what you are paying them for.

You can give them a list of songs that you would like to hear.

Here are a few sites with lists of the top rock songs, I am sure you will find some that are appropriate. Have them play what you like! As long as you have a good mix of music it won't be a problem.

Good luck!

Led Zeppelin THE RAIN SONG It is the springtime of my loving - the second season I am to know You are the sunlight in my growing - so little warmth I've felt before. It isn't hard to feel me glowing - I watched the fire that grew so low. It is the summer of my smiles - flee from me Keepers of the Gloom. Speak to me only with your eyes. It is to you I give this tune. Ain't so hard to recognize - These things are clear to all from time to time. Talk Talk - I've felt the coldness of my winter I never thought it would ever go. I cursed the gloom that set upon us... But I know that I love you so These are the seasons of emotion and like the winds they rise and fall This is the wonder of devotion - I seek the torch we all must hold. This is the mystery of the quotient - Upon us all a little rain must fall...It's just a little rain...
