RCR and DEI teamed up with their engine packages a couple months ago. Well, Jeff Burton, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and probably Martin Truex, Jr. will all be starting from the rear of the field on Sun. race because of some issue with engine package, and the teams having to change or replace something under the hood.
Does anyone think that the whole RCR / DEI engine package has something to do with all this? I just find it odd that 3 drivers within those two teams experienced problems this weekend.
Are the #29 and #07 car at risk for some sort of engine failure too this weekend?

I find it very odd and very disturbing! We can be thankful that all the bad happened before the race!

I hope nothing happens to the #29 and #07. Hopefully this was just some bad parts or something, i don't really know nor do i want to think about it! I'm just glad it didn't happen during the race!

RCR RULES!!!!!!

I think that RCR is in serious danger of lapsing into their 2004 motor glut (i.e. blowing one up every week). They never should have partnered with DEI; RCR's motors were extremely solid and almost never failed, and it seems to me that they are not going to gain much by merging with an organization whose motors are consistently some of the worst in the league with regard to durability.

It sure seems to be the case. I would think if Burton, Truex Jr. and Jr. all run well on Sunday, maybe there was problems with human error in the set-up. We'll have to see come Sunday.

I think so, RCR's motor's were bulletproof until they started mixin and matchin parts.

That is always going to happen when you start getting to companies together and start mixing parts together.
