Learn how to shop smart....take advantage of food banks also, they are there to help.
you should have rice pasta, flour, sugar, flour, eggs and dairy in your cubboards and fridge.....don't get sucked into convieance foods, they are too expensive and don't keep you full.
Most librarys have a section on cooking on a budget, ask the librarian to help you out if your unsure.
i hope this helps a bit

If you only have $12.50 per week for groceries I suggest you buy dry beans (protein), rice (cheap carb with many ways of making it taste different). Buy day old veggies and fruits and breads work on them by cutting off the parts that are not so nice. Most groceries reduce the price of meat that has been in the case for one day. Find out which store has the best to offer. Drink water only for hydration. Kool Aid is an inexpensive change to add flavor occasionaly. I know you can do it because I did it years ago...and had children!

Heres how you do it, with the $50 buy bread, milk, discounted food, cheese, lunch meat, maybe a big pack of meat separate it and freeze some. Then look in your area for food pantries to help you, also some churches will help. I know how it is......Good Luck, Dianne
