You probably just have sensitive teeth, also known as "cold teeth." There is nothing wrong with this. Many people have this discomfort with their teeth. It is when your teeth hurt when you eat hot, cold, sweet or sour foods and drinks. Don't worry about it.

It's fine. Some peoples teeth can just be sensitive (dentin hypersensitivity), especially to hot and cold, and mine get the same way. Next time you eat ice cream, try to keep it away from the teeth you find to be most sensitive. Drink something warm if your teeth feel that uncomfortable still, like tea or coffee.

If you want to try to help prevent this in the future, consider using toothpaste formulated for sensitive teeth. I would recommend the one by Colgate, which is what I am currently using. However, any toothpaste that says it is for sensitive teeth should work just fine.

edit: grammar mistakes. my bad :P

Yes, I'm afraid you'll never be able to eat ice cream again! No, this perfectly normal, as the nerves in your teeth seem to be working fine!

THIS IS CALLED "BRAIN FREEZE."
THIS IS WHEN YOU HAVE TOO MUCH COLD IN YOUR MOUTH TOO FAST. NO HARM COMES FROM THIS.
