Dogtanian! :-D
I remember watching the whole series when I was a kid.

I don't know how to answer this question properly except to say that maybe you never really get over it but you make yourself stronger to enjoy the future.

It's easy to walk through town or sit on a park bench if you've never been assaulted, but it can make you feel nervous in the same way as a soldier or a police officer might feel while on duty, knowing that an attack could come at any time - and they have guns! I have more respect for the kids who are scared but live like decent people than those who roam around in gangs looking for people to hurt so that they can feel better about themselves.

You see some guy walking along a City street, big muscles, mean face, and probably carrying a knife; and then you see some little old lady walking the same street with nothing more dangerous in her handbag than cough-drops. Of the two of them, the little old lady is by far the braver because she has neither muscle nor weapons and yet she walks the same street. It's the people who are potential victims who make our neighborhoods nice places to live because they are the ones who don't threaten us, intimidate us or see us as anything less than fellow neighbors.

I'm so sorry that you had such bullying done to you growing up. It will take more than Y.A. to get past it. Here's what I have to offer: Do pursue therapy, take care if they offer you meds. For the self esteem issues, while your waiting for the therapy, try making a list of every positive aspect about yourself, literally write it down, it gives it more substance to see it in black & white, and I mean every little thing, (and the big ones too, of course) Let me get you started, you're sensitive, intelligent, you like cartoons, so you must have a sense of humor, (these are 3 of the biggies in my book!) Now it's your turn...
Hang in there, mental health is achievable.

My God, if you watch rubbish like that it's no wonder you're forever on here asking for help and suggestions - and out of interest, it seems that despite being told so often by certain people who have never been anywhere near Manchester let alone know what conditions you live in that God will be your salvation and that He will see everything is alright for you, the whole thing's taking its time to have any effect isn't it - like it's not really having ANY effect at all.......

It's an easy answer.

Because it isn't happening now, if you're being in this moment, it isn't a problem.
However, if you look back to the past in your mind, it will seem like a problem.

In final analysis: there is no problem.

if you could ever just accept Jesus into your life..and God..you would learn how to have enough faith, to know that God will take care of you and you will never have anything to fear again..because with a faith that strong, He watchs His children..It is ashame, that you are holding on to this so much
