no faith is scientifically proven. that's why it's faith. :)

i like new age concepts. some of them borrow off of science. but that's a long way from being proven.

making sense is relative to each person. a generic belief that existence is somehow special makes sense to me. but, it can't be proven. which is alright... proving it would make it lame. lol.

i recommend studying the following religions...

Buddhism
Taoism
Wicca

really anything else that would be considered New Age.

any other religion that doesn't rely heavily on deities.

that's the other side, away from the religions of abraham. the belief that there is something more to the universe. not necessarily through the power of a deity. but rather, just because there is something more.

that is the fundamental question.. we are ultimately a byproduct of chance, but is there any purpose hidden within that chance?

"Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld." (Hebrews 11:1) How can you be "assured or evident demonstration" without some logical reason or proof in the past actions?

False pagan based teachings like trinity must eventually be explained as a mystery, as they have no basis in fact. It is not mentioned or supported in the Bible. So care must be made not to confuse the religion of the Bible with false Christian religions that corrupt the Biblical teachings with paganism.

The religion the Bible teaches makes sense. The faith involved is with promises made to occur later. If any man has a good name and reputation for keeping his word in the past, it is a pretty safe bet he will keep his promises for future actions. That is how you pick a contractor. How much more in picking a God?

The false Christian religions are so many you can't throw a rock without hitting one. In contrast, there is only a single true Christian religion. Just as a God who showed organization in everything else He has done, surely He would have one way He desires to be worshiped, yes? We can also say it would make sense as He doesn't confuse anything. If you ever baked, you know pie is never "easy as pie", but can be done and understood.

Consult watchtower.org and don't be afraid. It won't bite.

I was not sure what "Agnostic" really means so I checked in Wikipedia (☼http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agnostic ). In the civilized and scientific world of today religion is scrutinized just like any other theory. We want facts, scientifically approved before we believe anything.

On the other hand we also need spirituality, thoughts and philosophies that comfort us. We would like to know why we exist and why we die. Do we have a soul and what happens to it after we pass away?

Indulge yourself in these questions in the view of the faith of your parents and in the faith of the great cultures of the world. Learn and try to find your own answers. But be aware: no answer is final. This search is the greatest religion of all!

There are no mysteries to those who know the truth and reality. Mysteries, theories, speculations, vain imaginations, perceptions, opinions, and beliefs are invented by those who do not know how, why, and when life came into existence.

Religion is worse than science in its speculative efforts to satisfy the human ego. Religion has created the impetus for people to search how, why, and who they are without having the proper tools to help the people discover the truth for themselves.

There is no precept of religion or science that comprehends or properly explains Reality--which is things as they were, as they are, and as they are to come. Science is a type of religion, just as religion is a type of science, wherein the mystery of life remains a mystery to those who don't understand it, but pretend to.

Albert Enstien said : science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind. ...

There are more than 6000 verses in the Glorious Qur’an out of which more than a thousand speak about science. These facts were only recently discovered or proven by scientists. It is beyond reason that anyone fourteen hundred years ago would have known these facts discovered or proven only recently with advanced equipment and sophisticated scientific methods.

Be careful, many sects and religions attempt to use science to justify their beliefs. If you're not seeking the false reassurance in a man-made supreme being, you might want to look into one of the humanist movements for which mankind's emancipation can only come by and through mankind.

"without much faith involved more scientifically proven" - then it would not be a religion at all.

The major difference between Islam and Christianity is that Islam is a false religion, and can even be considered a cult. It was brought to the earth by a false prophet, and those who follow him worship an idol. The Bible is clear as to what happens to idol worshippers.

Buddhism has no room for faith, but is very abstruse and hard to follow in places. Try Advaita Vedanta if you have a philosophical turn of mind, or Paganism if you don't.
