Why do most people make intelligents their god?

Most of them have their nose catching rain water.
Education has set society back rather
than forward.Yet it is bowed down to like it's
a god.

Intelligence, is something they can measure, something they can hide behind, something they can see by measures of grades and so forth! IQ tests only support their world!

God, on the other hand, is the unseen intelligence, He is inmeasurable, you cannot test God and succeed! So, it is actually very simple! It is the simple minded who can only look into a box manmade! It is the faith which allows Christians to look outside that box and experience God!

Yes, many stand behind intelligence! It is sad as it is a psuedo intellect. But, then, satan loves using blinders...doesn't he? So, play on the simple minded people and convince them they are the intelligent force in this world! All the while, satan sits back and has a laugh on them, knowing that he has entrapped another soul!

Until you do, use spell checker and grammar checker.

And read a history book. You're sitting in an environmentally-controlled room, have the benefits of a state of health your ancestors never dreamed of, have human rights that were denied multiple generations, and are able to communicate with thousands of people in the world while simply tapping on a device that a thousand generations of humans did not even conceive of. I can't really see the "education has set society back" scenario.

I disagree with other answerers. Education and intelligence is to be prized I don't deny but accept easily. But I value PROPER APPLICATION of such education and intelligence much more. Otherwise they are useless. Computers and libraries are full of them both. Unless they are properly used they only take up space.

As for intelligence being a god, I should point out Ethiopians are in the current problems in no small part because they cut down the fruit bearing trees to make idols for worship out of them. The gods at the expense of living.

While religion and society CAN go hand in hand, the fact is, they are not the same thing. Education has set religion back, not society.

I don't believe in god. Rather, I believe in logic and reason, and they both indicate that until there is proof of your sky daddy, the likelihood of god's existence it extremely low.

Why do you get your intelligence (yes that is the correct spelling) from the bible? Do you use current medical facilities when you get injured or fall ill? Do you watch TV? Do you use a computer and the internet? Yep, I guess technology and education has really set us back...
