I wanted to take a photo with all my friends, so I put it on my TV. Just when it took the photo it dropped to the floor. It took more pictures, then i turned it off and then on again. It started with the brand name, as usual, then the screen went all white. I thought it was a battery error, so I charged it. It still doesn't work.

If the camera is past the warranty period it may actually be cheaper to buy a new one than to repair this one.

Depending on the type of camera, you might not want to get it fixed. If it is a simple point and shoot, you would probably be better off to replace it, but you will need to take the film in to a professional to be removed to save your pictures.

If this is a professional type camera with detachable lens, then you will want to take it to a camera shop, let them know what happened and tell them about the film in the camera so they can remove it safely.

more than likely your camera can be fixed, it just depends on how much you are willing to pay for it and it the camera is worth the money.

It will have to be repaired. As previously stated it will probably cost more to repair than to replace. You may as well start shopping. Check steves-digicams.com for reviews of various makes and models.

A tabletop tripod would have prevented this. They are inexpensive and available at most stores that sell cameras.
