If I were teaching people to feed the hungry, I wouldn't just make food appear out of thin air. What does that teach? Yes, I want you to heal the sick. I know it will be hard but it's very easy for me.

TV would be a miracle to someone in 1899. To us it is just Saturday. Healing the sick and feeding a great crowd is a miracle to people of Bible times and to us still but less so as we understand medicines and food service. For someone far advanced than man, what Jesus did was always a miracle. He too thought, "Saturday". He also understood the effects on his audience and the need for it then; to get believers quickly and effectively. There was no hypocrisy involved. He was not representing something he was not.

Teaching people how to work for money to buy food seems more fair. It helps people feel good to know they can do it themselves. Of course feed them until they can make enough to buy food...but if people always live on government assistance, isn't that like a form of slavery. They never have the opportunity to feel good about their own accomplishments. I think that is what it should teach. Help those that cannot help themselves and teach the ones that can help themselves, how to do it.

There is indeed a thing called a miracle in the world today, and it is very difficult to locate!
The miracle is this: To find a person that locates the faults within themselves, eradicates them, and stops finding faults with others!

"This is indeed a true miracle."

Well, God operates the way He wants to, not the way WE want Him to. The miracle of which you speak is a display of the power of Jesus Christ in the making of food from nothing. The people attending his sermon were large in number and extremely hungry. No food source was nearby. He fed them generously. I think that this was an obvious act of mercy, helping one's brother who couldn't help himself at that point.

You can teach people to feed the hungry or you can show people how to fish.

Your choice.

I dont get the connection. Miracles happen. No man creates the miracle. Only man can be hypocritical. I assume you arent putting God and man in the same category.

This miracle was given as a proof of his divinity. It was done so that the people who saw would believe. Have you ever even read this material? Silly people. Don't ask questions about that which you have not even attempted to study.

God and Jesus did perform miracles and God does work miracles. God used to walk with man. They are Supernatural. How else were they to prove themselves to man??? They did what THEY thought was right at the time, and who are we to question it???
God intentionally gave man FREE WILL-to believe in Him or not--to have ETERNAL LIFE with Him in Heaven or not.
All of us have souls. You can choose to have God save your soul or not. Read and study your Bible, and find out for yourself what God and Jesus said and did. Then make up your mind with the full knowledge of what you are doing.
Good luck and may God bless you.

if the land wont support the people ....... they gotta either move or some gotta die ...... feeding them or healing them is a temporary solution that's connected to a much bigger problem.
