got your point....
and it is a good one.
*edit*
i feel i need to say this after thinking about your question....
after Hitler the world was suspicious of all Germans for a time.
after 9/11 the world is suspicious of Muslims. it will take some time but the world will get over it.
i am not saying this is right or deserved ...only that it is human nature to do so.
and by the way....
Hitler was Catholic.
so yes he claimed to be a christian
to those who do not believe it just google
Hitler"s religion.

One.
I feel you should quote your sources. It is an act of respect towards your readers. There is no reason to act mysteriously.
Two.
You quote from a speech by Adolf Hitler in 1922. The year is important, it is in the very beginning of Hitler's career, when not many people took him seriously . Hitler was obsessed by rising to power with a majority of the voters behind him. Therefore, in the beginning of his career he flirted with christianity. That does not mean he was a christian. He was an opportunist.
Driving the merchants out of the temple was not an act of anti-semitism, but an act of anti-simonism and anti-hypocrisy.
Three.
Of course there was a lot of antisemitism in crhistianity, in the rcc and in other denominations. In France e.g. it was a driving political force since many years. Hitler has used this mainstream feeling to rise to power and reach his goals
So: yes you should blame part of christianity for what happened to the Jews, the gipsies, the gay, the JW's, the leftists and others under Hitler. It is very debatable whether Hitler would have come to power without the active and passive support of the rcc and more specifically Monsignor Pacelli, the later Pope Pius XII. Hitler was most afraid of the opposition of the catholic labour movement, opposition which was effectively sabotaged by Monsignor Pacelli.
I think I get your point, but I never go into innuendo. If you have something to say, do so please. This is not a guessing site.
I do not believe in god(s). Many people call me and atheist. I think it is a wrong term. My attitude towards life and humanity is not primarily determined by the fact that I do not believe in something for which nobody has offered serious proof. It is determined by my belief that people are more equal than different. Therefore I condemn what the nazi's have done. I also condemn what the US government and its poodles do to people in Iraq, Afghanistan and many other countries. I also condemn what the Israeli government does to the Palestinian people.
I hope I have been clear enough and that you get my point. If it is not clear, I will be happy to explain more. I hope you will explain your point in full, so maybe we can proceed with a discussion.
Have a nice day.
May I add here after reading a few answers: When I say I do not think Hitler was a christian, maybe I use hindsight. Hitler thought maybe exactly the same way many, if not most, so called christians did at the time. More important is however, that the rcc has deliberately NOT spoken out against nazism and antisemitism when it still could. The encyclical "Mit brennender Sorge" by Pope Pius XI in 1937, and quoted by many as a sign of resistance of the rcc against nazism, does not deal with ant- semitism. At the time of publication, Hitler was already 4 years in power, the Neurenberg laws (regulating racism against Jews) were already 2 years old and millions of people were already deplaced to camps. But: the rcc had already reached its primary goal of its diplomacy with the nazi's: a concordat recognizing the worldy power of the vatican.

I get your point, and it is a good one, but people need to realize that like Hitler ( a catholic who used the banner of Christianity), anyone can use Christianity as an excuse for anything. And have you noticed that next to Islam, Christianity is the only other belief in the world that gets hijacked by people who are anything but Christian? How could anyone in their right mind who knows the tenents of biblical Christianity call or refer to Hitler as a Christian? Even my atheist father said "If Hitler was a Christian, then I'm Jesus." Hitler was far, far from being Christian. he used that title to justify his hatred of Jews because he knew of the tension existing between jews and christians over the issue of the messiah, and that was his way of throwing salt into that wound. This nonsense happens all the time, yet when some idiot commits some atrocity in the name of Christianity, there are those who point their finger and say "Look! All Christians are like that!!" It's the fallacies of Composition and Division all at the same time, and it's pathetic. Are all muslims terrorists because of Bin Laden????

Actually you've done a great job in underlining why the muslim world is so backwards..you don't have your facts straight. Hitler was in fact against Christianity and saw it as an enemy of national socialism. He didn't do any of the awful things he did in the name of Christianity but rather through a secular rationalism made possible by atheism!! So first of all he wasn't nor did he claim to be a Christian. Secondly even if he was, he didn't do violence in the name of his God like muslim fundamentalists do today. The history of Islam from the 7 century until the present is nothing but war and blood shed against their Hindu, Christian, Jewish, Budhist, Taoist, Atheist or even Muslim neighbours. As soon as Muslims start to take responsibility for their bloody past and present, then they can move toward a reformed Islam that isn't subject to this type of judgement!

The same people who do not get your point are the ones who most often hate Muslims for what Osama Bin Laden supposedly did. I do not think a lot of people even stop to think about what you wrote they just start insulting people. Christians claim that their religion is one of love and acceptance, yet almost invariably these are the same people who HATE Muslims.
Tyler L , hmmm , well there are written and audio transcripts that would say differently. Hitler was raised in a Catholic household, Hitler almost became a priest, Hitler may not have believed in Christianity in the latter part of his life but he most definitely DID use Christianity to further his own ends.

You should judge a the man by his actions and recognize that most of his words were/are not consistent with what Jesus commanded his followers to do...that's what I do at least. Yes, Jesus threw the money changers out of the temple...these people were getting rich by stealing a portion of the gifts people were trying to offer to God...but he didn't KILL them nor did he command his followers to kill them. Instead, he told them to stop stealing from God in the name of God ("God wants you to make your offering in XXX currency, we'll convert your offering to this currency fox xxx cents on the dollar"). .
...and this is virtually the only situation where Jesus behaved in any way as a "fighter"...the rest of the time, Jesus preached peace and humility not warfare and pridefulness. He lived as a servant not as a warrior and he commanded his followers (Christians) to emulate him.
The man you quoted wasn't a Christian so how could you judge Christians based on him...that would be a unfair and incorrect as judging all men as evil because one man you knew tried to kill you or any other stereotype you could care to come up with. Anyone can claim to be a follower of Christ, but Jesus commands us to judge Christians by their actions not by their words. In any battle, the enemy can attempt to deceive neutral observers (and even patriots) into believing that the opposing system (or leaders) are responsible for atrocities that the enemy committed! Six million Jews died as a result of one man choosing to do the will of Satan and his ability to convince himself and others that it was the work of God. Hitler was a demonic nutcase, period...any claims he was a Christian or was doing the work of God are pure fantasy and deception by the one really responsible for all that murder!

Grace unto you, and peace,
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
True God has no soldiers,
nor any good + evil children,
nor any law law sons of thunder,
nor any servants (slaves, prophets),
who know not what their master doeth.
His Grace neither makes nor takes sides,
thereby has no side effects of sides wars,
which induct players into a hall of shame.
To wit: "that God" was in "Christ"
reconciling the world unto himself,
not law imputing sin & death to any.
Perhaps you missed the Take Heed 101 Class,
which had a stated purpose: not to get deceived.
As for judging, judge righteous(grace) judgment,
which has only one, and the same, opinion of all:
study to shew thyself "approved"(only) unto God.
Get my POINT: grow in GRACE(ONLY), or
bend over, dble kiss divided @ss bye bye.
May yer musli law law become grace,
and may it be before yer @ss is grass.
The GRACE(ONLY) of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

It skill I could attempt my superb to appreciate; with the aid of fact i will decide not something i don't understand. on occasion I do this nicely and it fairly is a triumph for the two one persons. on occasion I do this nicely and it fairly is a few thing I desire i did not see. on occasion I do this poorly and it fairly is a humorous 'reality'. on occasion I do this poorly and make an @ss of myself. yet i'm continuously prepared to contemplate an attraction. that's the comparable technique I concern myself to - and attempt to decide the judgment handed on me besides. Going to heaven or hell would not relax interior of my judgment no remember what I verify approximately something for others - i'm not even specific that it concerns how I decide myself. it particularly is God's determination. MY judgments I question - I believe God's judgments.

Blame the evil man. Unfortunately, there are tons of people everywhere that use their so-called "Christianity" as a scapegoat for their agenda. Just look at the KKK. These people are not true Christians....they are hard-hearted, hateful people.

Is it not the duty of every Muslim to use any means possible, including lying, cheating, stealing and killing in order to destroy all other religions or forms of government and ensure the victory of Islam over the whole world? It says exactly that in the Koran, over and over again.
