Yes you pay for your actions and decisions here on earth.
Yes, if you kill someone today and ask for forgiveness, Jesus will forgive you, but the court will not.

I prefer to think of it as fate. The thing about sin and forgiveness is that you can't know that you are going to do something sinful, do it, and then expect "instant forgiveness". It doesn't work that way. If you do commit a sin for which you had not planned it to happen, it just did and without the intent to do so against God or man, forgiveness will be complete as long as you acknowledge it as such and seek His forgiveness. Much of the trouble that alot of Christians have in life is the existence of unrecognized and unrepented of sin from their past. That's the nature of sin: it will follow you from one day to the next, and hound you unmercifully. Only when you ask God to reveal the sin(s) that you have not repented of, will you have any real peace. I like to think of it as "unfinished business" that needs my immediate attention.

And don't kill anyone today, Ok??? lol

You seem a little confused.

We pay for our sins on earth through their consequences. i.e. if you kill someone, your going to do some jail time. Jesus payed the price for our sins. Therefore if we believe in Him and repent (and not just say "oops, sorry God". Repentence is more than that) then we're justified.
Also you're never going to be without sins. You're going to die a sinner and live as a sinner, because that's what we are. Only through Christ can we stand justified before God.

God forgives our sin when we have real repentance. But the consequences for our sin remain. Example I could commit a crime that God will forgive, but I still would face jail or whatever the courts decide.

Yes. All actions have consequences.

"God" may forgive a killer, but if the victim happens to be someone that I care for, I won't forgive. And the price will be paid... sooner or later.

(in case you haven't already guessed, I am not a Christian).

You can be forgiven if you were 100% sincere that you are sorry for what you have done. But you you were premiditating a murder and ask jesus to take away your sins... it seems that the latter is not sincere thus you will not be forgiven and you will GO TO HELL.

He would know that you didn't mean it and then it's the lake of fire for you. Yes we pay for our sins here on earth, most of our lives are a living hell every day

God will forgive but you still have to go to jail for what you did.
