Is it weird to eat beef stew with nothing in it? Or are you supposed to?? Well, what do YOU eat beef stew with? I eat it with rice.

I meant eat beef stew with nothing like, no bread, rice, crackers, or anything cept the beef stew itself. But, good answers everyone.

Well the beef stew my mommy used to make had carrots, potatoes, peas, beef, gravy/stew, seasonings.. and thats it...
I'd always eat it with a HUGE home made biscuit (or two) and a tall glass of ice cold milk...
But as for rice.. I ate some cream of chicken soup with rice mixed in for breakfast....
Weird? You want to hear weird... I should tell you some of the crazy combinations I eat! haha

Seriously, though. I eat buttered bread (preferrably home made bread still hot) or crackers with mine. Rice would be good, too, though. How you enjoy your beef stew is up to you, so I wouldn't worry about the fact that you eat it with rice.

Usually I have potatoes and other veggies in my beef stew. However, if I want a heartier meal, I omit the potatoes, then make mashed potatoes to put the stew on. Me, personally, I love rice, but the rest of my family don't as much... but they will if I'm the one cooking!

It is our tradition to have fresh baked biscuits, butter, and honey with beef stew. We also serve a simple salad of iceberg lettuce and a thin dressing as a crisp, cool balance to the dense, hot stew.

When I cook beef stew, I put it in the crock pot for hours with potatoes, celery, carrots, onions, garlic, and golden mushroom soup (don't ask, it just tastes awesome). Then, I serve it with biscuits. Nothing more. I've never had it with rice though.

Beef stew is great with french bread but its outstanding with buttermilk biscuits or Rolls! ummmm tasty enjoy!

I make my beef stew with lots of carrots and potatoes in it... sometimes more veggies, depending on who I'm serving it to or if it is just for me. I like to make a nice hot loaf of bread ahead of time to come out of the oven right at dinner time to go with it... with butter and honey... mmmmmm Nice glass of Cabarnet or a quality Merlot to go with...
