I always heard this expression so I was wondering. Also, where I work they sell beer and occasionally people will have their beer bottles in my face for minutes (even though where I work paticularly it is illigal to bring them over) and I get dizzy.

MikeL oh let me explain i work at a theme park where they sell beer. But in the section I work you're not allowed but the other workers who work in the same section (work in dif. department don't say anything) and every person I've told gets pretty hostile. And one of my supervisors told me not to say anything.

No, its not. You don't get drunk by smelling perfume and that's often full of alcohol. Most of what you smell in alcoholic drinks isn't the alcohol, its the stuff like hops or barley or whatever the liquor or beer or wine is made of.

ask any painter
ask any fool that sniffs gasoline
or the whipped cream aerosol freaks
wrap a plastic bag on your head you need nothing.
BUT I don't like your story
it doesn't make sense
you work where they sell
and they have it in your face
OF course You do not move
but it is illegal
Is that smart Not informing anyone????
there is more CR -p in your nail polish
and alcohol does not evaporate in any manner you said here..
Impossiable

I heard ants get drunk of alcohol fumes. But I don't think humans can.
