Ugh, are they so hard to use.

I love Apple's hardware, but their software sucks.

Mac OS X is completely boring. Barely anything that worked on my PC works on this one. Some docs. coudn't get through and I'm angry. There doesn't seem much to do except go on the internet. Many of my favorite games won't work, many of my other applications don't work, and it's just horrible.

I noticed that my Mac is a bit slower than my PC for some reason. A few times, it hasn't been responsive.

The only thing that I can say that I like is that OS X seems very clean cut, and brushed than XP. And I like iChat and Photobooth. And that Mac machine itself is pretty neat. The built-in cam, nice design, just the beautify of it all.

Too bad OS X is awful though.

So what do I do?

@ELfaGeek: I've used it for months already.

The location of some of menus, and tools are in oddly placed positions that it doesn't seem right. The layout of some parts seem very illogical.

As for Boot Camp and all - sorry. Macs are suppose to 'just work' right? So that means any games should 'just work'. If Apple can't keep it claims straight, then they're liars.

1. Take the time to learn how to use OS X.

2. Use Boot Camp to install XP on your Mac for games.

3. Next time, do lots of research before you buy, you should have learned that your games wouldn't run on OS X.

properly, i'm uncertain that it is honest to declare that every physique pc geeks hate Mac's. i be attentive to particularly some Mac Geeks -- does not that lead them to pc geeks besides? -- and that they actual do no longer hate their Mac's. various the justifications that individuals who like to soup up their desktops do unlike Mac's are: (a million) each and all the Mac hardware is proprietary, so which you won't be in a position to %. up unusual stuff and get it plugged right into a Mac -- you won't be in a position to construct funky structures that combine particularly some different hardware and features -- Mac has become a sprint greater of an open equipment, yet nonetheless demands that various the classic hardware be Mac in ordinary terms. (2) while you're used to tweaking your equipment on the OS point -- it is lots harder to do on a Mac then a working laptop or pc (3) there is a lot greater unfastened code floating around for tweaks, bells and whistles, and interfaces for Linux and domicile windows than there is for the Mac. (4) $$$ - Mac stuff is costly and "geeks" are often attempting to construct/code for reasonable.

Try downloading OpenOffice, a free office suite that is compatible with MS Office documents.
As far as games, if they are not designed for MacOS, they won't run in your machine any more than MacOS applications will run under Windows.
I own a MacBook myself, and it reads and writes anything that I did on Windows. I did install MS Office for MacOS. I also have Windows Vista installed in its own partition in the same MacBook, and it runs quite well.
I do not have the issue you mention. You might try re-installing the whole software package from the factory DVDs, or taking it to an Apple store, so one of their "geniuses" can diagnose it for you. They are pretty good.

Macs are completely overpriced. They're for losers who can't cope with more than 2 cables.

Macs are made to be complicated, stick with a Windows computer
