what is the maximum spacing on rainleaders according to the BOCA specs.?

BOCA 96 addressed it not by a spacing number but by "All exterior gutters and downspouts shall be designed for rainfall intensity based upon a 5-year recurrence interval for a five-minute duration." If it passes that much water it will be OK.

Make sure BOCA is stil in force before building to it. IBC 2006 is out, after all, and I think BOCA stopped at 1999 SBCC.

I think IBC it is now a roof area requirement for drainage, but I don't design these systems and interact with them only peripherally.
