I always thought that was really kind-of obvious. you are walking around with a bit of weight, and then you have to drag out an animal if you get one. Its exersize, so it makes your body work. A guy i knew that died last deer season from tracking a big buck.

Give D58 10 pts. He hit it on the nose. Saw a bill for what I thought was a heart attack and a day and nite in Cardiac care unit. The hospital coded it wrong and I owed $5800 ,insurance paying "NADA" As far as deer hunting , ya sit ina stand and tie yourself to the tree cause if ya fall asleep ya won't fall out the the tree. Rush hour traffic has me more "hyper" than hunting

If you have a bad heart to begin with and are dragging that 220 pound buck out, it isn't exactly a surprise if you're putting yourself at risk. This "study" was a waste of time and paper, confirming what anybody with half a brain knew already.

While they are at it, why don't they blame wives for heart attacks and say marriage is dangerous? Hunting gets us away from danger... don't you agree?

Granted, changes in altitude and hikes up mountain sides can contribute, but so can a telephone (which is a huge cause of heart attacks). It seems to me that they can blame anything.

It can if you are way overweight. I start exercising about 2 weeks before the start of deer season so I can be in a little bit better shape.

Only if he get shot in the heart.

I had my heart attack at home.

Now seeing the bill for a heart attack , can give you a heart attack.
$137,00.00 and $18,000.00 was for the d@mn 30 mile helicopter ride.
I called the head office for Life Flight and told them I had better own 80% of the companies stock for that kind of bill.
Their excuse was it was because I died in flight, I said who cares my heart restarted on its own with out them touching me.

So be warned, DON’T die on a helicopter!

Crazy-devil-dan I wish Life flight would of went for it, that would made one nice ATV.

No. My dads doctor told him that if he uses the 4-wheeler to climb the hills, it would be good for him to keep hunting.

I was taught to control my breathing and lower my heartrate before shooting.not only does it improve accuracy, but perhaps it could prevent you from having a heart attack, but its only speculation at this point.
