basically, after1800 years of having christianity shoved down jewish throats, usually by force and by fire and sword, the israeli government passed a law that protects jews from active missionary-ism and attempts for conversion.
the guy was expelled out of israel on a technicality, namely, an expired visa.
if anyone tried to stay in the USA or in any other democratice country after their visa expired and was caught, they'd be expelled and banned from that country.

btw the Korean missionaries in Afghanistan would probably have been happy if they had only been ordered to leave, especially the ones that were murdered.

He got in trouble in Israel for doin misionary things to the Jewish people in Israel.
