Every time I try to grab a quick sandwich at a motorway service station or any fast food outlet all of the ready made sarnies have mayo on them.... I hate mayo.....
If I'm lucky I can find something with mint yoghurt..........
Does no one sell plain food anymore?
Don't get me wrong. I love curry/ chinese/ Italian etc.... but hate bloody mayo.....

Those mass produced sandwiches use "industrial mayonnaise" as a "glue" to keep the sandwich fixings together and to keep moisture in the sandwich after it was packaged......they do this so that it can extend the shelf stability life considerably.......You might want to grab for another choice at your motorway station if you don't like the mayo......if you have an equivalent of a Subway (A US "fast food" sandwich shop, where the sarnies are made to order) you can request that no mayo be put on it........Enjoy!!!

Hate sarnies with mayo. Like to eat it when I want. Do not eat sarnies from motorway services-covers a majority of things!

Hear, hear I hate mayo too and am always saying the same thing. Apart from not liking it the sandwich always goes soggy as well.

Good point, it is like why have most ready meals have chicken in them?
I hate mayo and I hate chicken.
I suppose they use mayo so the bread does not dry up as quick and they use chicken coz it is cheap.

You are one of 10,000+ why are you looking at ready made.
you want to hold the mayo go to BK or sub way have it your way
PS if you go there regular,,, phone your request.
I buy NO food from the service stations,,.. outrageously overpriced and no dates
When I go to Oregon They still have full service and the same price or very close

It is cheaper than margarine or butter. I hate the stuff as well. It's the same with meals when they have to add garlic to everything.
Why can't we go back to good old English food instead of all this trendy crap
