I have a boyfriend, but he's an asshole and he's Indian but I'm still attracted to him. And one of my really good friends is white and he's so nice but I'm not attracted. I want to like my white friend. He's in 4 of my classes and I've also known him since elementary school. He was also my neighbor for a while. My friend Casey told me that he likes me. I really want to like him, but I'm not attracted to boys other than Indian. How can I change this?

You are probably somewhat close minded. Every race should have at least a few people you are attracted to. I am always suspect to anyone who says "I am only attracted to so and so...."
But what is your option, to date people you are not attracted to just to prove a point. If you like Indian guys date them, but there have to be nice ones (in fact all the Indian guys I know are super nice). So date who you want, just don't complain about the jerks if that's who you choice to date.

It is common to try to be attracted to people from your own ethnic origin, but you should consider broadening your horizons a bit.
Try meeting people outside of school. Find some cultural activities to get involved with. See if you can meet a nice Indian guy who is NOT an asshole. Don't settle for the first one that comes along.
The other thing would be the old "T-Bar" approach... list the traits of each fellow and see who has the most to offer you. Listen to your heart, not just the hormones.

Well, maybe the reason why you are only attracted to Indians is because you and him prolly have a lot in common.
BUT..if you want to be attracted to a white boy, try trying things out with him. Hang out with him, and get to know him more. You'll end up liking him. (well in my case i always do)
ps. according to your picture, you are really pretty!
do dont ever let yourself down!
and if your boyfriend is being a butthole, you don't really deserve him!

you never know you might be better off as friends and cherish what you have.
you could do one of those "risk it and hopefully il start liking him when im with him" things but they dont usually work......
sorry this isnt much help but wanting to change yourself isnt the best thing, theres lots of great Indian guys out there. maybe you will meet some one not Indian and like them when you least expect it, i find when i stop looking for a relationship a really good one just appears!

You respect assholes that's the problem.... You have to respect people for who they are and love them for their personal qualities and then you will be attracted to guys based on their virtues and not on their superficial qualities... Where your treasure is there your heart will be also.
I would never be attacted to scarlett o'hara because I think she's a detestable *****, and more immature than a four year old enfant...
But people who don't value honesty, integrity, truth, humility, consideration for others in their love interest might find her appealing.

It's what attracts you. Who knows how the brain works? I am Caucasian and attracted only to Caucasian men. Go figure. Why is this? lol
You can't force yourself to feel attracted to this guy. If you're not, you're not. It wouldn't be fair to him anyway to give him less than your wholehearted love and affection.

Maybe you like being in comfort zone.. or you have common topics that you enjoy.. but you should explore men from other cultures too.. you never know where you find your soulmate..
