The thing is that the dealer told me that the JVC TV has a inbuilt speaker and woofer so you don't have to buy 5.1 speaker system.
Should i go by his word or buy an 5.1 speaker system. What do you think is the best option ?

DVD players do fail much faster than the TVs, so I would go with a separate DVD player.

Two speakers and a woofer don't make a 5.1 system, so get a separate speaker system, maybe a small home-theater in a box.
If you buy a theater in a box make sure it has at least one s/pdif (digital audio) input. If later on the DVD player dies, you can still use an external DVD player and a cable and use your 5.1 surround system.
