The tool you're looking for is called a Dremel. you can get them at WalMart, KMart, Sears, etc. they come with a bunch of different bits and heads.

Buy a Dremel Moto-tool, available at home improvement stores. The cutting bit most like what dentists use is a 1/16" carbide ball burr.

Go to dentistry school and get a supply list that way.. besides you dont want to run around with equipment that you havent been properly trained to use, do you?
