While alcohol is not prohibited while on minocycline, it is recommended that your intake be limited. This antibiotic is often used for acne because doctors know that many of the young will not avoid alcohol even though they are taking medication. Alcohol won't interfere with the working of minocycline but may intensify some of the side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness and nausea.
