Can we agree that Jesus comitted suicide?

"Well, you knew the consequences of your actions would put you in Hell therefor God is not sending you to Hell, you are sending yourself to Hell"

"Well, Jesus knew the consequences of his actions would get him killed, therefor the Jews did not kill Jesus, he killed himself"

Even as He hung on the cross, Jesus knew His death was temporary. He willing allowed His blood to be shed as payment for all mankind. Satan has ownership of our souls once we commit sin, and sooner or later, EVERYONE will commit a sin. Even denying god's existence is a sin.
Jesus paid for the cost of redemption, so it wasn't the same as suicide. It is a very good question however, and I'm glad you asked.

Hey! I'm sorry. First of all, there shouldn't be ANY topics you don't agree with God on. He's the perfect Judge, and NO ONE has the right or intelligence to disagree with his judgments. You may not understand them yet, but you will never be more right than he is. As to the subject of suicide, it is fruitless to speculate on what future a person has who has committed suicide. Only God and his appointed Judge, Jesus Christ, can say what was in the heart of a person who ended his own life. The important thing is to put the tragedy behind one and commend the dead one to the “Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort.”—2 Corinthians 1:3. But the Bible does condemn those that misuse the body God gave us (1 Corinthians 6:19-20; 2 Corinthians 7:1 ) So, suicide IS wrong. But no human on earth is the judge of who will go to hell and who will not. Let us remember this: “One there is that is lawgiver and judge”—God. His ‘law is perfect,’ not deficient. (Psalm 19:7; Isaiah 33:22) God alone has the right to set standards and rules for salvation. (Luke 12:5) So James asks: “Who are you to be judging your neighbor?” It is not our prerogative to judge and condemn others. (Matthew 7:1-5; Romans 14:4, 10) So, that's my answer to your question. Hope that it helps, and have a great day! Luv ya, Tashi :) P.S. I also agree with the no murdering part. Suicide IS murder. You cannot forget that. Of course, people may be suffering and do it because of that. I always think of something I read once upon a time. It was a newspaper headline and it read: "SIX-YEAR-OLD COMMITS SUICIDE.” This shocking headline referred to the tragic death of a little girl named Jackie. Her mother had recently died of a terminal illness. Before Jackie stepped in front of a train, she told her siblings that she wanted ‘to become an angel and be with her mother.’ I don't think God would punish a little girl for such an innocent thing. So, that's my stand. It's wrong, God wants you to depend on him and avoid it, but it's not my place to judge the ones who do it.

Jesus didn't climb on the cross to crucify himself, he was wrongfully arrested, beaten then hung on the cross.

He allowed this to take place in accordance to the scripture, which tell us of His return to save us. It was God's will that sent HIm there as a sacrifice. If He didn't follow this according to God's will, would you or anyone have beleived Him then? He needed to create a miracle for us those non-beleievers to understand.

Well, he came back three days after His death to bless the disciples and commission them to save the world in His name. These 11 (remaining disciples) went out to speak to the world about Jesus and His love for us, His power to heal and His gift of eternal life upon His return.

This isn't a "tale", but an event that started Christianity from these 11 men. This spread throughout the world by their sharing this event and sharing Jesus' words of love for one another. Our obedience to loving one another, helping one another and keeping faith until His return has brought us the peace and hope that we need to continue life on His earth.

I hope that this gives a bit more clarity.

The Jews were responsible for Jesus's death because they had every intention of killing Him, but He dismissed His OWN spirit. Committing suicide is a sin because man is trying to take control instead of letting God control his destiny. Jesus was God, so letting His own spirit leave was totally fine. God created evil without BEING evil, He knew what would be happening when He did it. He does send us to hell, which isn't evil. We're born under a curse, we all deserve Hell, we're all marked for death. The very idea that we can be saved from that fate is a wonderful thing.

He did not do that.
He did NOTHING for which to be condemned.
All He did was come to Earth and live a perfect life.
His life and death were part of a plan.

You believe as you wish.
Why do you need for others to agree with you? Be a man and decide what you believe. Stick with it.

Are you so insecure that you need others to come along with you? Can't you be confident enough to go to the place alone if that is what you choose as your path?

he did commit suicide.

it is tantamount to stepping in front of a bus. that is also suicide. he intended for himself to be killed by thema nd allowed it to happen.

it is yet another fatal flaw in the bible and its jesus-story.
