Buddha was not and never claimed to be God. He never claimed to create the world. His followers do not believe in Him in the same way Christians, Jews, and Moslems believe in God.
In invisible Creator God has many names because He is known in many languages. Most of those names are titles, anyway, like Most High, Great One, etc. The 12-step programs refer to "higher power whom I choose to call God." Who else other than the invisible Creator God, by whichever language you call His name, would have created these things? Who else is there?
(And I acknowledge the goddess worshippers will take exception to my questions.)

Who ever said God has no jealousies should read Isaiah.
Could it be that no one else claims to have created the world. Some like the Muslims claim that thier God did it but He is the same God. Ummmm!
Perhaps if you look within yourself and then within a Bible and you will find Truth.

There is no difference between God and someone else. Which one gives the greatest effect to your life and its meaning? Does someone else make you a more wise person? Can you go to someone else and get the deep internal relief that people crave from time to time. If so then someone else is who you should worship and if you truly believe someone else is all that, then share someone else with as many people as possible.

It's called circular belief or circular faith. They point to a mountain and say - look only god could have created that (or whomever their higher power is), but actually it was created by the plates colliding. So then they'll say, but god created the plates...., well how do you know that??? ... because the bible says he created everything. (we could go on like this all day - in circles) Well who created the bible you ask.. MAN! Ah ha!!!
So, I guess in that way of thinking WE are god. Which makes the most sense anyways, because you create your own reality!!

Well, think about it. If you take the time to read the actually Koran and not the Americanized version you realize that Alla is not a very loving nor creative individual. Frankly, the only one who fits the requirements for all that you see is God. Also, have you ever noticed that He is the only god that does not think or act like a human with petty jealousies, hate, bigotry, and incompetence?

God, somebody else?

Um, any all powerful being who created the universe, whatever the form, is ... God. Get it?

Buddha never claimed to be a god. And if he was the creator, he'd then be a... god.

don not take anything for granted is the buddha's message

if you see that after observation and analysis somethings agrees with reason and is conducive to the good of one and all then accept it and live upto it!

and he refused to comment on a universal god!he knew that that there was so much to know and would probably take a lifetime or more knowing this!

instead if he concentrates on him"self" and observe the correct ways to reach enlightenment he would know this to himself..so he taught what he thought was useful for humanity and did not teach what he felt was not useful!
