Going to Italy in October for two weeks and we are wondering what,and how much,to pack?

In Oct your going to need prob two pair of jeans for kicking around in, two pair of good pants for going out to clubs and nice diners n stuff like that. If you hike or do outside adventourous stuff bring some warm lose clothing. I am sure you won't forget the obvious stuff like socks, shoes and underwear n stuff like that. Don't forget your passport! You can't leave home with out it. Also get your money converted on the US side b/4 you go so you don't have to mess around with it when you get there....or get travelers checks. Have a good time.

If you just go sight seeing, a couple of jeans, T-shirts and sweaters, a light wind and waterproof jacket, and of course underwear, socks and sport shoes, are enough.

If you go clubbing, have dinners in a fancy restaurant or meet with people in more formal situations you will need a slightly more upmarket set of clothes.
Nice slacks, proper shoes and a shirt would do.
I do not think a tie, but if you go to fancy restaurants you might need it.
Girls will want to bring a dress of a skirt and top for going out at night, as Italian girls dress up for it and they may not want to stand out as uncivilized tourist.

Still also bring your swim gear, as the opportunity may arise, and it takes very little space.
