Every one is affected differently. They cause chemical changes in brain, which in turn affect the metabolism.

I don't think it is the pills that cause the weight gain.

For me the anti-depressants caused better moods and feelings, and so I felt like eating for the first time in months so I gained weight.

But the depression had made me lose weight, so not all bad.
