When you transfer a picture to front page that is in jpeg format does it convert it to html format automaticaly?

Graphics are left as graphics -- Frontpage just writes the HTML to embed the graphic in the page.

It should add the code to the source. It usually treats it as though it's in a table, that way you can place it anywhere on the page. If you look at the source, it'll have the image code buried in table tags ( etc).

There is (so far as I'm aware) not "html" format for pictures (ie. picture.htm). It'll still be a jpeg. Unless you're talking about reformatting the size to better suit a website. If that's what you're talking about...I'm not sure.
